Furby’s face
We finally got a good look at little Furby’s face. I think he’s male (but I stand corrected). The vet appointment is this afternoon. He’s very feisty and fierce, though. His behaviour seems feral in nature. But how did a long-haired kitten end up being feral? Furby is for adoption. Please contact me at chankahyein@gmail.com…

We caught Furby last night
We caught Furby last night. He was mewing nonstop under our car all night. I offered food but he did not finish it all, and continued mewing. Poor little thing. He must be lost. Then, he kept going towards Samantha, but Samantha would smack him. Later, he went to Stargate2 and Minnie was there. Minnie…

Furby, kitten for adoption
Would anyone be interested in adopting Furby? He/she came to our house again this evening. I think he/she is probably 6 weeks old, is long-haired. If interested, please contact me at chankahyein@gmail.com. Thank you.

You missed it all, Gerald!
Gerald and Samantha were at the playground just now, accompanying husband for his taiji. Gerald missed the whole earlier episode with Furby. Meanwhile, Furby is still mewing in the drain under our driveway. I noticed she had not finished her food, so maybe she isn’t as hungry as I’d thought. Gerald and Sam came back…

Riley’s preference for breakfast
It seems like Riley prefers Cubgrub for breakfast! Yes, it’s Cubgrub for breakfast, alright. And the canteen has to follow her around too. She doesn’t eat all at one go. She eats a bit, plays a bit, then comes back to eat. And this morning, to get her to eat Coco&Joe’s, I added some Primal…

Another new kid on the block? (Furby)
This morning, a bushy long-haired kitten (who looked so much like Bushy from the house down the road, even the markings are similar) was mewing loudly outside our gate. Samantha was in the porch, as usual. Let’s call her Furby for now. I think she is female because she is very cautious. Samantha does not…

Patience, be near me still (encounters with Cleo)
Cleo is our hardest cat to handle. She has been with us for 15 years 10 months, and yet, I cannot open her mouth to pill her! But, I can brush her teeth with the wet wipes – go figure! She doesn’t seem to mind that. I could never do her subcut alone too, but…

Adjusting Bunny’s supplements from day to day
Bunny had constipation for months before suddenly “switching” to diarrhoea. When he was chronically constipated, I tried everything I know of, and I finally had to resort to daily Cisapride and Lactulose for him. After being “stable” for months, suddenly it switched to diarrhoea and this became a bigger problem. With the diarrhoea, Bunny started…

Samantha and Creamy
Creamy doesn’t come daily nowadays. I think Gerald has taken upon himself to be the prime CNRM-cat on our street. He (Gerald) comes several times daily making his Ah Long-demands for food. I am actually worried it will be only a matter of time before the neighbours complain because he is oh-so-loud! So very, very…

Who’s that nibbling at my toes?
Last night, I was awakened multiple times by someone nibbling at my toes. It was little Riley! Each time I got up, she hid but I saw her. It was her game and it was incredibly cute!! Riley’s pattern is now to come downstairs to play all night. She is still very nocturnal. Day time,…

Riley is a nocturnal cat
Since yesterday, Riley suddenly became very sociable. And I realised now that since Riley had grown up as a street kitten, she is totally nocturnal. Last night, she came downstairs to play at midnight and was playing until 3am. She went into Jayden’s cot and selected two soft toys to play with – Tweety Bird…

Jayden, our little street cat feeder
Jayden has been watching me feed the cats for many weeks now, and today, he decided to do it himself. Samantha, Gerald and Creamy drop by very often to eat at the “cat canteen” in our porch. We offer kibble, canned food and even BARF, if they would have it. I tried this morning, Samantha…

Riley Day 15, Gerald and Samantha
It’s as though Riley read my mind and that’s not surprising because cats can definitely read minds. Whether they want to respond or not is a totally different matter, of course. So yesterday, we were a bit worried about Riley holing herself upstairs for two weeks, barely coming downstairs at all. Is she happy being…
