  • Gardening and remembering Misty fondly

It’s been a week since Misty’s accident. There hasn’t been a moment that I did not think of her and miss her. As much as I keep myself occupied, I am still constantly thinking of her. It was difficult to take a walk in the morning, but I had to. Part of the reason is…

  • Gerald’s trip to the park and his bath

Gerald knows how to demand for a trip to the park – he yowls nonstop. Off-leash in the middle of the park. Gerald loves playing at this gazebo in the middle of the park. He jumps from slab to slab and rolls on the concrete. He doesn’t go far from me. Let’s hope he stays…

  • Gerald’s day of yowling

Today has been a day of yowling for Gerald. And frankly, I’m quite drained out. Could it be because it’s the weekend and he thinks he needs an entire day out? Even after the morning romp in the park, he wasn’t satisfied. He’d take a nap, then the moment he wakes up, he starts yowling…

  • Thank you so much, Pastorale Conservatoire of Music!

This afternoon, Pastorale Conservatoire of Music organised a Violin Recital featuring their very own former student, Mr Andrew Ng, who studied the violin at Pastorale from the age of 8 until 18. These are his remarkable achievements thus far: Malaysian-born violinist Andrew Ng Wen Hao is one of South-East Asia’s up and coming young talents…

  • Gerald insisted on going out (but only to the park)

Gerald was yowling till no end this morning. I was afraid that after being confined for 4 days, he’d had enough and wanted to be free again. Even sitting with him in the room did not help. He kept yowling. So I had to take him out. I didn’t have time to take him out yesterday…

  • A very kind Malaysian bus driver

My son, Jia-Wen, was coming home by bus early this morning and he noticed something very heart-warming. The bus driver, a Malay man, stopped the bus, got down and went an open grassy area. Then, a pack of happy dogs came running to him. He fed the dogs and then, got back into the bus…

  • Neutering aid for 3 dogs in Johor Bahru (Ng Chin Hoon’s)

We have provided an aid of RM600 for the spaying of these 3 dogs, LeeLee, Fifi and Coryi. Ms Ng Chin Hoon is a new applicant from Johor Bahru. From the receipts, all these 3 dogs were also vaccinated prior to discharge.

  • How to avoid accidentally spaying pregnant dogs (a sharing)

There are always new dog caregivers who would like to know to avoid accidentally getting pregnant dogs spayed. I asked JoTong, one of our applicants who have done so many dog neutering, for tips. JoTong is also our TagTeam member. Here’s what she says: On heat yes. Can see from their engorged vagina. Blood droplets…

  • Gerald and everyone this morning

As usual, the moment I woke up and sat in bed to drink my water from my tumbler, Gerald immediately started calling from downstairs in Bunny’s Place. I don’t know how he knows, but he knows. I did not even make a noise; Tabs who was asleep beside my pillow did not even wake up.…

We have provided a full sponsorship of RM150 for the neutering of this female cat, Fat Girl. Fat Girl was rescued by Mdm Lee when she was very young and found to have a severe hip injury. Surgery was performed on Fat Girl and it was successful (we will be providing a medical aid for…

  • Gerald and the string toys, after dinner

Dinner time for the Blondies! Samantha ate. Kai ate…a lot. Indra – no. Who needs food?  I even managed to get Gerald to eat dinner (he already had his lunner of chicken gizzards earlier). This is Cubgrub’s raw Quail. Gerald liked it. That’s good. He needs protein rotation too. Then, it was playtime! Akira had…

  • Gerald goes to the park with the boys

I didn’t want to make this a daily affair, but Gerald was mewing this afternoon. I know the body harness isn’t comfortable, so I tried Mac’s old harness. It doesn’t cover so much of the body, as it’s made of thinner straps. Gerald was okay with it. But in general, cats do not like being…
